Motherhood – Raj Sethi

When I talk about motherhood, I should start with myself. My mother is my root, my foundation. She planted the seed of ‘belief’ in my heart and soul. Ever since then, I have kept it as the foundation of my life. It is her wisdom and knowledge that has made me what I am today. I will forever be grateful to her and remember her until the last breath of my life.

I believe motherhood is a choice you make every day. It is all about putting someone else’s happiness and well-being ahead of your own. Motherhood can feel like participating in a race, without a finish line. Exhausting and exhilarating all at once. There’s no greater good in all of the world than a mother. The influence of a mother in the lives of her children is beyond calculation. I think, as a mother you must practice the following mantras in life:

    1) Always believe in yourself and learn from your elders and impart all that gathered knowledge to your children.

    2) Always try to stay strong mentally, physically and emotionally and teach the same to your children.

    3) Never make fun of anyone, never say anything to make them feel down and disrespected.

    4) Never give up, try your best to learn new things that can benefit and help others.

    5) Always be grateful and thankful to God for what you have.

    6) Always work hard as much as you can and teach the same to your kids. Learn as many things as you can and keep them in practice.

    7) Always try to stay humble and confident in any kind of situation and make sure to teach the same to your kids .

    8) Be kind to everyone no matter the person and teach your kids the power of empathy, kindness and love. Always try to keep smiling and make others smile too.

    9) Always have open conversations in the family.

    10) Try to have meals together as a family and try to talk about each other’s day. Love each other regardless of any differences that may occur at any point in life. Remember, children are the most beautiful and important treasure for mothers. She is always ready to do anything for them, anytime of the day.
