Three young achievers Helena Billen, Jeenat Billen, Angel Billen have displayed an intense and excellent level of technique, courage, and training in the field of weightlifting. The girls hail from Surrey and have won many national and international titles at a very young age.
The eldest sister, Helena Billen who is just 26-yearsold is a multiple time Junior National Champion. She has also bagged multiple Gold Medals at multiple Western Canadian Championships, Junior Commonwealth Championships and is a Bronze Medalist, Senior National champion, Junior World participant.
Jeenat Billen, 21, is a multiple time Junior National Champion too. Qualified for Youth Olympics in 2018, Jeenat has been a successful Junior World participant as well. She has also shined bright at the Youth Commonwealth Championships bagging a Silver and Bronze Medal. At such a young age, her achievements don’t end here. She won a Bronze Medal at the prestigious Senior Commonwealth Championships. She is also a multiple time Western Canadian Champion, two-time Youth PanAmerican Silver Medalist, Junior Pan-American Bronze Medalist and has many more accolades to her name.
Jeenat has won a Silver as well as a Bronze Medal and Angel Billen, who is the youngest of the lot, bagged a Bronze at the Canadian Senior Nationals organised by the BC Weightlifting Association, held in Kelowna, B.C on May 22,2022.
Angel, who is just 14-year-old is a U15 Pan-American Championship qualified with 1 Gold & 2 Silver medals. She is also a Junior National Champion, B.C Provincial Champion, selected for Youth Commonwealth Championships as well as selected for Youth Worlds. Angel will be competing at the Youth World Championships next month in Mexico.
