It is a well-known fact that regular exercise and physical activity keeps you active, provides more energy regardless of age, sex, and physical ability. However, exercise training is more than just mere exercise. More specifically exercise therapy is a regimen or plan of physical activities designed and prescribed for specific therapeutic goals. Its purpose is to restore normal musculoskeletal function or to reduce pain caused by diseases or injuries. Exercise training by physiotherapists can be and is different for different people and depends on your current level of muscle strength, muscle endurance, and cardiovascular endurance, and general health at the present time.

Our Physiotherapist at MJ Physio is equipped to prescribe the client’s goaloriented exercise program and training based on a baseline assessment of your muscle strength and cardiovascular endurance.

Different exercise protocols that our Physiotherapist at MJ Physio use for a comprehensive exercise program include flexibility /stretching exercises, resistance or muscle strengthening exercises, balance training, agility training, coordination training, proprioceptive exercise, PNF techniques, and gait training.

We at MJ Physio are also focussed on preventing falls in older adults and provide a balanced assessment and balance training for older adults.

We utilize chair yoga/ chair exercise techniques for the older adult population to keep them exercising when their on foot tolerance is low.
