As I met Milan Mann CEO of the captioned humanitarian organization, for the first time-in his office- I found this graduate, nimble footed, 5’-9”, 23 years young Scorpion, a bit busy with the task[s] of the day.

As we sat down to talk about his philanthropist Not-for-Profit venture named, WE THE TEAM, which was began last year along with core family members, I saw him losing part contact with me, and revisiting the formation process in a reminiscing mode.

Children will listen to us, after they feel listened to. History will judge us by the difference, we make in the everyday lives of our children, who are our future.

On my query, to express, in what way the idea came up and the purpose to give it a shape, he replied,” One out of five kids, in our province, are facing financial hardships to pursue their passion in sports arena. Twenty percent of our youth here in BC, being deficient in money, are being deprived of sharing beneficial childhood experience with their peers based on their dreams in sports field. This is where our Not- for- Profit org. enters in. We the Team, by facilitating financial help, try to provide a sense of normalcy for those who feel hapless and helpless, due to shortage of money, and facing these harsh realities. We do so by removing the financial barriers of participating in organized sports.”

Accomplishing a goal is not, always, an individual effort. We the Team relies on teamwork to make our children’s dreams work. Join their team and let’s work together so that our children realize their full potential by participating in the sport(s) of their choice.

We the team is determined to help kids of British Columbia into the game of their choice. Participation in organized sports, by children, can be a life changing experience. We are a team with a goal to help kids sidelined by financial difficulty. Presently, the organization is helping budding young Sportsmen in buying Sports Equipment and pay tournament registration fees. Kids, that need an assist, join us to lap up the opportunities on the way forward.

The solitary aim of this sponsor org. is to help kids financially so that they can buy related Sports Equipment, pay participation fees and pursue their passion – their cherished dream. Presently, this group is focusing on assisting children of new immigrants, refugees and all marginalized groups or populations that do not receive, the support they need.

The tagline of this promoter org. is “Teamwork makes the dream work”. If charity begins at home, then teamwork can also begin from home. Milan is ably supported by his elder sisters namely: Michelle Mann- an optometrist and Deepika Manna Biomedical Scientist and an aspiring Dentist. It will not be out of place to mention that their parents- Balraj Mann [ father] and Jabir Kaur [mother] render valuable guidance as warranted from time to time.

Come one, come all, come all in all for a helping hand. This org. is always looking for teammates. If you want to assist by contributing your time or using your voice, or donation contact with We the Team.

The enterprise is based out of Langley, BC in the heart of the Greater Vancouver. If you want to join the team or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact them.

For donation, the group can be reached at: 778 997 9011 [cell number] and 604 521 4300 [ Office number].
