SPOTLIGHT: GURJIT BAL… A PASSIONATE ENTREPRENEUR

As I was waiting for Gurjit for an interface in a restaurant, I was thinking, how hard working we the human beings are? Moreover,” Punjabian Di Shaan Vakhri” (Punjabi’s are uniquely different on all fronts).

As I turned my neck, a sturdily built – 6 feet–handsome man, in his early 30’s, was in front of me with a wide grin on his face. After exchanging courtesies, we settled for an interface.

As I walked the talk, he informed me that destiny brought him here in Canada in in the year 2012.

He is a born entrepreneur from Jalandhar [ Punjab] India. May be Canada gave him a level playing field, where this gentleman ventured into Real estate Business. As they say, “Well begun is half done”, In 6 years he has found his moorings in this property business where he is pleasantly engaged.

His reverend dad, late Sr. Amarjit Singh owned and ran a successful transport business in Jalandhar. With business in his blood , he ventured to Property business, where he can be independent and pursue his dreams.

Presently, he is successfully engaged in helping clients to sell or buy Real Estate under the umbrella of Century 21 coastal reality with Head Quarter in Surrey.

The credit belongs to this man who is firmly ingrained in his area of choice and specialization. Tearing down the road, with his face marred with dust and sweat; striving valiantly, who errs and may fall again and rise again, because there is no effort without error or learning.

Every human being loves to pursue a profession, which feed his hobbies. As a corollary, on sidelines he is pursuing his 2nd passion-cum-profession i.e. Entertainment. He is conducting shows to enthrall the community to relax their nerves. So far, he has roped in the following renowned Punjabi artists spanning over 6 shows in two years:

• Satinder Sartaj

• Wadali brothers

• Kanwar Grewal

On family front, his wife Amarpreet kaur is helping him in all walks of life. He is blessed with a son named Arjun Bal, His father late Amarjit Singh bal – was one of the most successful Transporter of India. His mother, Kulwant Kaur lives with him.

I appreciate his mention of passion in abundance, because that’s what drives all of us and makes us want to be better and do better. When opportunity meets a prepared mind…umm… success happens.

When I asked him, what are one of the best moments of his life, he opined,” the time I spent with Wadali Brothers during their show in Surrey BC.

On Hobbies front, apart from listening to Punjabi and Hindi music, social service gives him peace of mind. He has helped over 100 people to get employed. He feels better to help the needy. As a teenager and young adult, he played Cricket and Basketball.

In closing, when I asked him where he see himself after 10 years, he stated, “I want to continue what I am doing in Reality and Entertainment business.
